Pulsar 220 DTSi- The New Male

 Having brought a Pulsar 220 in November 2009 i would like to give my reviews about the bike. I dont know if i would be biased but i would try to give real insights.

The New Pulsar 220 has an excellent engine and when it roars, it makes itself heard. The earlier reviews state that the bike can reach a speed of 144 KMPH. "Its true". I had the opportunity to touch 142 KMPH on a drive from Bangalore to Tumkur via the NICE road. The road is amazingly good with no spped breakers and no pot holes and i think is the best road to test your bike. The bike was smooth when it touched 142, the wind was making it a little hard to drive but else it was terrific.

After this i realised that there was a jingling sound from the bike, i am yet to trace the exact location of the sound. I am assuming that some nut has become loose and needs some tightening. The bike has a great control and an even better looks.


One problem i have been facing is that at times the gear slips and goes to the previous gear which at times can be confusing. When driving with the high beam on i have noticed that the light instead of hitting the road, focuses on the trees and whatever there is on the top. When the bike was given for servicing i had asked the Khivraj guys to lower the focus but alas, they have not done it, either that they dont know how to do it or are complacent.

One of the best features of this emazing bike would be its mileage. Being a 220 CC, it gives a whooping mileage of 38 KMPL. Thats what i call vaue for money.

The drive is so thrilling that you would not wanna stop for any reason.
Truly this bike is living up to "THE FASTEST INDIAN" image as stated by Bajaj.
